VISCAYA - A perfect day trip from Wilton Manors

One of our favorite day trips from Wilton Manors is a 45 minutes drive to Maimi’s great manision, Vizcauya.  Bulit by John Deering of the International Harvester family and fortune, the 100 year old Vizcauya and its 180 acre estate and gardens are world famous and frequently seen in moives and televison shows.  Vizcaya cost some $26 million in World War One dollars and would cost severa hundred million dollars to build and funish today.  With 54 rooms and 38,000 square feet it is one of the largest private homes in America when built,  Go to the Vizcaya.org website for hours, fees and directions (but its just a straight shot down I-95.)

When you’ve finished your tour of Vizcaya, its only a short 10 miles north  to South Beach for a stroll, some shoppng, some beaching, or dinner before your head back to Wilton Flats for and evening dip in the pool.
